An endoscope comprises a telescope (12), an electrode assembly (13) comprising at least one electrode (13T), and elongate conductive means (13S) for supplying electrosurgical power to said at least one electrode from the proximal end of the conductive means. Means are provided for supporting the electrode assembly (13) on the telescope (12) for pivotal movement, in a plane substantially normal to the axis of the telescope, towards, and away from, an operational position in which the conductive means (13S) is substantially parallel to the telescope. Sealing means (16, 29) seals the electrode assembly (13) to prevent fluid passing from an operation site adjacent to said at least one electrode (13T) to the proximal end of the conductive means (13S).

L'invention concerne un endoscope comprenant un télescope (12), un ensemble électrode (13) constitué d'au moins une électrode (13T), et un organe conducteur allongé (13S), permettant de fournir de l'énergie électrochirurgicale à ladite électrode à partir de l'extrémité proximale de l'organe conducteur. Des éléments permettent de fixer l'ensemble électrode (13) sur le télescope (12) de manière qu'il pivote, dans un plan sensiblement perpendiculaire à l'axe du télescope, pour se rapprocher ou s'écarter d'une position fonctionnelle dans laquelle l'organe conducteur (13S) est sensiblement parallèle au télescope. Un dispositif (16, 29) d'étanchéité assure l'étanchéité de l'ensemble électrode (13) et empêche que le fluide ne passe d'un site d'opération adjacent à l'électrode (13T) à l'extrémité proximale de l'organe conducteur (13S).
