A system for reprocessing and sterilizing a previously used endoscope having at least one lumen is disclosed. The reprocessing system (10) includes a reaction chamber (36) into which individual chemical components of a sterilant are transferred by pneumatic force. The system includes a central processor (112) which controls the asynchronous reprocessing and sterilization of at least two endoscopes. A novel sterilant is also disclosed. Also disclosed is a combination of the sterilization device and the sterilant and methods of using the same.
L'invention concerne un système permettant de retraiter et de stériliser un endoscope usagé ayant au moins une lumière. Ce système de retraitement (10) comprend une chambre à réaction (36) dans laquelle les composants chimiques individuels d'un stérilisant sont transportés par propulsion pneumatique. Ce système comprend également un processeur central (112) qui commande le retraitement et la stérilisation asynchrones d'au moins deux endoscopes.
