A stereoscopic imaging device is described that attaches to an instrument, such as an endoscope or a borescope, which is characterized by an exit pupil in the vicinity of its proximal region. The imaging device includes a dual aperture plate and an optical switch that are disposed within a housing that attaches to the proximal region of the instrument. The dual aperture plate defines right and left, spaced-apart apertures respectively disposed at symmetric locations substantially in the plane of the exit pupil of the instrument. The optical switch alternately blocks light received from the instrument and passsing through the right and left optical channels so that a steroscopic view can be generated.
L'invention concerne un dispositif d'imagerie stéréoscopique, qui se fixe sur un instrument tel qu'un endoscope et qui est caractérisé par une pupille de sortie disposée à proximité de sa zone proximale. Le dispositif d'imagerie comprend une plaque à double orifice et un commutateur optique, disposés à l'intérieur d'un boîtier qui se fixe sur la zone proximale de l'instrument. La plaque à deux orifices définit un orifice droit et un orifice gauche, disposés à distance l'un de l'autre à des emplacements symétriques sensiblement dans le plan de la pupille de sortie de l'instrument. Le commutateur optique bloque alternativement la lumière provenant de l'instrument et celle traversant les canaux optiques droit et gauche, de façon à générer une vision stéréoscopique.
