The invention is directed to an endoscopic assembly (10) having an endoscope (30), particularly a flexible hysteroscope (30) and an outer sheath (11) disposed about a length of the shaft of the hysteroscope (30) which has an expandable member (17) such as an inflatable balloon (17) for sealing the assembly within a body lumen or cavity. Specifically, the endoscope assembly (10) is configured for delivery of an occlusive contraceptive member to the patient's fallopian tube. The invention is also directed to an endoscope (40) having a driving member (44) for movement of a medical device within the working lumen of an endoscope. In one embodiment the driving member (44) is a friction wheel which engages an elongated medical device disposed within the working channel of the endoscope to effect longitudinal movement of the medical device.
L'invention concerne un ensemble endoscopique consistant en un endoscope, notamment un hystéroscope souple et une gaine extérieure placée sur la longueur d'un axe de l'hystéroscope comportant un élément extensible notamment un ballonnet gonflable destiné à sceller l'ensemble à l'intérieur d'une lumière ou d'une cavité corporelle. Plus particulièrement, l'ensemble endoscopique est conçu de manière à administrer un élément contraceptif occlusif à travers la trompe utérine de la patiente. L'invention concerne également un endoscope possédant un élément d'entraînement servant au mouvement d'un dispositif médical intérieur d'une lumière de travail d'un endoscope. Dans l'un des modes de réalisation, l'élément d'entraînement consiste en une roue de friction qui se couple à un dispositif médical oblong placé dans le canal de travail de l'endoscope afin d'entraîner un mouvement longitudinal dudit dispositif.
