It is known that travelling curling rocks during a curling game are deviated from the straight line because of the friction between the rotating rock and the ice. The friction and thus the deviation are altered in a traditional game by sweeping the ice with a curling broom. By using a curling broom capable to deliver additional energy to the ice, the deviation and the travelling distance of the curling rock can be enhanced. The energized curling broom consists of a traditional curling broom the head of which is bearing an energy source and an energy transferring device that can be activated by an on/off/control switch in the broom's handle. The energized curling broom allows not only enhanced direction of the curling stone but also permits older or feeble players to participate in the game.
