ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention provides an energy-absorption device principally intended to be mounted as a bumper on a heavy goods vehicle, characterised in that it comprises a core constit- uted by a super-position of corrugated bands, two adjacent bands being arranged in such a way that the projecting parts of their corrugations butt against one another, so that a shock collision between two vehicles situated one on each side of the device is absorbed by a flattening of the corrugations.
