A process for printing images by means of an electrographic or electrostatic device using a toner that is activated by the application of energy. The toner has energy-activated reactive components. An image is formed on a substrate by the toner, without materially activating the reactive components. The reactive components are subsequently activated by applying energy to adhere the image to the substrate by cross-linking and bonding the image permanently to the substrate, or by transferring the image to a second substrate.
L'invention concerne un procédé d'impression d'images au moyen d'un dispositif électrographique, ou électrostatique, utilisant un toner activé par l'application d'énergie. Le toner comporte des composants réactifs activés par l'application d'énergie. Une image est formée sur un substrat grâce au toner sans activation matérielle des composants réactifs. Les composants réactifs sont subséquemment activés par application d'énergie afin de faire adhérer l'image au substrat, par réticulation et liaison permanente de l'image au substrat, ou par transfert de l'image sur un second substrat.
