The present invention is concerned with an energy converter apparatus which, when located into a large water source in movement, recuperates a portion of the kinetic energy of the water and converts it to another form of energy. The apparatus includes an inlet and an outlet container with openings which continuously and automatically allow for the entry of a portion of moving water inside the apparatus, regardless of the instantaneous flow of the water particles adjacent to the containers.
