The invention concerns a device for reversible conversion of electric power capable of being connected between at least an input alternating voltage source (1¿1? to 1¿n?) and at least a load (4¿1? to 4¿n?) forming an output alternating current source (4¿1? to 4¿n?), each input alternating voltage source (1¿1? to 1¿n?) having a supply terminal (2¿1? to 2¿n?) and a neutral terminal (3¿1? to 3¿n?). Said device comprises at least a switching block (6¿1? to 6¿n?) and includes an input terminal (7¿1? to 7¿n?) whereto can be connected the supply terminal (2¿1? to 2¿n?) of the voltage source (1¿1? to 1¿n?), a single reference terminal (9¿1? to 9¿n?) and an output terminal (10¿1? to 10¿n?). The or each switching block (6¿1? to 6¿n?) consists of a switching matrix (12¿1? to 12¿n?) formed of capacitors and switching cells, individually controlled by means controlling their operation. The or each reference terminal (9¿1? to 9¿n?) is connected to a reference point other than said neutral terminal (3¿1? to 3¿n?) of said source (1¿1? to 1¿n?), and the or each block (6¿1? to 6¿n?) comprises means for permanently maintaining at a constant or null sign the difference of potential between said first input terminal (7¿1? to 7¿n?) and said reference terminal (9¿1? to 9¿n?) of the or each switching block (6¿1? to 6¿n?).

Ce dispositif de conversion réversible d'énergie électrique est connectable entre au moins une source de tension alternative d'entrée (11 à 1n) et au moins une charge (41 à 4n) formant source de courant alternatif de sortie (41 à 4n), chaque source de tension alternative d'entrée (11 à 1n) présentant une borne d'alimentation (21 à 2n) et une borne de neutre (31 à 3n). Ce dispositif comporte au moins un bloc de commutation (61 à 6n) et comprend une borne d'entrée (71 à 7n) à laquelle est connectable la borne d'alimentation (31 à 3n) de la source de tension (11 à 1n), une unique borne de référence (91 à 9n) et une borne de sortie (101 à 10n). Le ou chaque bloc de commutation (61 à 6n) est constitué d'une matrice de commutation (121 à 12n) formée de condensateurs et de cellules de commutation, contrôlées individuellement par des moyens de commande de leur fonctionnement. La ou chaque borne de référence (91 à 9n) est connectée à un point de référence différent de ladite borne de neutre (31 à 3n) de ladite source (11 à 1n), et le ou chaque bloc (61 à 6n) comporte des moyens de maintien permanent à un signe constant ou nul de la différence de potentiel entre ladite première borne d'entrée (71 à 7n) et ladite borne de référence (91 à 9n) du ou de chaque bloc de commutation (61 à 6n).
