ABSTRACT OF DISCLOSURE Disclosed herein is an engine block member comprising a self-supporting liner of ferrous alloy material having spaced end surfaces, an inner endless surface extending between the end surfaces in generally perpendicular relation to one of the end surfaces and adapted to form one wall of a combustion chamber, and an outer surface extending between the end surfaces, and an outer body cast on the liner outer surface and including spaced end surfaces with one of the outer body end surfaces extending in co-planar relation to one of the liner end surfaces.
