Engine cleaner compositions are reported comprising a single phase solution comprising a polar solvent having a Hildebrand solubility parameter of about 10 cal 1/2 cm -3/2 or greater; a non-polar solvent, immiscible with the polar solvent, having a Hildebrand solubility parameter of about 10 cal 1/2 cm -3/2 or less; and a fugitive cosolvent having a higher evaporation rate than the polar solvent and the non-polar solvent. The engine cleaner compositions are suitable for cleaning internal combustion engines.
L'invention concerne des compositions de nettoyage de moteurs, lesquelles comprennent une solution à phase unique constituée d'un solvant polaire possédant un paramètre de solubilité Hildebrand de l'ordre d'environ 10 cal ?1/2¿ cm ?-3/2¿ ou davantage, d'un solvant non polaire, non miscible dans le solvant polaire et possédant un paramètre de solubilité Hildebrand de l'ordre d'environ 10 cal ?1/2¿ cm ?-3/2¿ ou moins, ainsi que d'un co-solvant fugitif possédant un taux d'évaporation supérieure à celui du solvant polaire et du solvant non polaire.
