An apparatus for extracting and injecting liquid coolant from and into a reservoir for an engine cooling system. The apparatus includes a storage tank for the liquid coolant, and an air pressure system for selectively applying fluid pressure to the tank either above or below atmospheric pressure. A hose connects the tank to the engine cooling system reservoir through a double shut-off- type coupling. One part of the coupling is connected to the reservoir, and the other, to the end of the transfer hose, each having its own independent shut-off valve. When the coupling is connected, the valves in both components are opened; conversely, when the coupling is disconnected, the valves automatically close.

Appareil permettant d'extraire un liquide de refroidissement d'un réservoir d'un système de refroidissement de moteur et de l'y injecter. L'appareil comprend une cuve de stockage (110) destinée au liquide de refroidissement, ainsi qu'un système à air comprimé (200) permettant d'appliquer sélectivement à la cuve (110) une pression fluidique supérieure ou inférieure à la pression atmosphérique. Un tuyau (340) raccorde la cuve (110) au réservoir du système de refroidissement du moteur par l'intermédiaire d'un raccord du type à double fermeture (500). Une partie (520) du raccord est reliée au réservoir, et l'autre (510) à l'extrémité du tuyau de transfert (340), chacune des parties comportant sa propre soupape d'arrêt indépendante (522, 512). Lorsque le raccord (500) est relié, les soupapes (512, 522) des deux éléments sont ouvertes; inversement, lorsque le raccord est déconnecté, les soupapes (512, 522) se referment automatiquement.
