The lubricant for an internal combustion engine fueled by a biodiesel fuel (that is, a liquid fuel containing a C1-C4 alkyl ester of a carboxylic acid of about 12 to about 24 carbon atoms) exhibits improved resistance to oxidative degradation when the lubricant contains an alkali metal detergent.

L'invention concerne un lubrifiant pour un moteur à combustion interne alimenté par un carburant biodiesel (à savoir un carburant liquide contenant un ester d'alkyle en C1-C4 d'un acide carboxylique d'environ 12 à environ 24 atomes de carbone) qui présente une meilleure résistance à la dégradation par oxydation lorsque le lubrifiant contient un détergent à métal alcalin.
