An engine starting device which can prevent chattering with a simple structure is provided. In an engine starting device in which an ignition switch for turning on and off a main power source line between a battery and an ECU with a stationary contact and a movable contact thereof is provided, the stationary contact includes a main contact and a starter contact, the movable contact is configured so as to be capable of being switched to an on-position, an off-position, and a starter position relative to the stationary contact and both the main contact and the starter contact which are the stationary contact are configured so as to be connected to the battery when the movable contact is rotation-moved to the starter contact, a relay is provided on a sub power source line that is connected in parallel to the main power source line and connects the battery and a sub power source input terminal PVB of the ECU, and the relay is excited according to start of the ECU and makes electric continuity between the battery and the ECU.
