"ENGINE SUPPORT STAND" ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An adjustable, liftable engine support stand is provided. The stand comprises a pair of upright, parallel, spaced plates each having a foot flange extending outwardly therefrom. The upper edges of the plates fit into the elongate flat portions defined on the flanges provided for oil sump attachment on the cylinder block, between the oil sump wall and the row of bolts securing said sump to said block. A pair of parallel spaced shafts are provided to extend through openings provided in the ends of the plate member walls. At least one of the plate members is slidable along the shafts so as to adjust the spacing between the plates. Suitable means for releasably locking the slidable plate member to the shafts are provided. The ends of the shafts extend a distance beyond the plate members to thereby provide means whereby the stand may be lifted by a fork lift.
