A recombinant microorganism expressing at least a heterologous enzyme of an NADH-dependent pathway for conversion of a carbon source to n-butanol, metabolic intermediate and/or a derivative thereof and capable of producing n-butanol, a metabolic intermediate and/or a derivative thereof at a high yield and related methods. The recombinant microorganism engineered to inactivate a native enzyme of one or more pathways that compete with NADH-dependent heterologous pathway, and/or to balance the NADH-dependent heterologous pathway with respect to NADH production and consumption.

La présente invention concerne un microorganisme recombinant exprimant au moins une enzyme hétérologue associée au NADH, élaboré pour convertir une source de carbone en n-butanol, un intermédiaire métabolique et/ou un dérivé de n-butanol, et capable de produire du n-butanol, un intermédiaire métabolique et/ou un dérivé de n-butanol à un rendement élevé. L'invention se rapporte également aux procédés correspondants. Le microorganisme recombinant est conçu pour inactiver une enzyme native à une ou plusieurs voies rivalisant avec la voie hétérologue associée au NADH, et/ou pour équilibrer la voie hétérologue associée au NADH par rapport à la production et à la consommation de NADH.
