A method of producing a tissue engineering construct. The method includes providing a population of embryonic stem cells, seeding the embryonic stem cells on a cell support matrix, and exposing the embryonic stem cells to at least one agent selected to promote differentiation of the stem cells along a predetermined cell lineage or into a specific cell type. The step of exposing may be performed before or after the step of seeding.
L'invention concerne un procédé permettant de produire une construction de génie tissulaire. Le procédé décrit dans cette invention consiste à utiliser une population de cellules souches embryonnaires, à ensemencer les cellules souches embryonnaires sur une matrice de support cellulaire, puis à exposer ces cellules souches embryonnaires à au moins un agent choisi pour favoriser la différenciation des cellules souches le long d'une lignée cellulaire prédéterminée ou dans un type de cellules spécifique. L'étape d'exposition peut être réalisée avant ou après l'étape d'ensemencement.
