ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: A new and novel engraving board for producing a print comprises a multiplicity of densely arranged short fibers, a water-resistant adhesive, a layer of thin and water-absorbing paper of which the top surface is coated with the short fibers fastened thereto with the water-resistant adhesive to form a layer of short fibers, and a layer of thick paper, such as gasket paper, high in water absorption degree and capable of changing color when is absorbs water. The short fiber layer, including the thin paper layer, is smaller in area than the thick paper layer and is so stuck thereon that at least a part of the peripheral area of the thick paper layer is exposed.
