Stable aluminum-zirconium antiperspirant compositions in polyhydric alcohol solution with enhanced efficacy were made by direct reaction in aqueous solution of a soluble aluminum salt, a zirconium compound, a polyhydric alcohol, aluminum metal and optionally an amino acid buffer, and maintaining the solution at 100-140 ~C to form a 20-45 % by weight concentration of aluminum-zirconium complexes on an anhydrous basis. A solid product can be obtained by spray drying the product solution.

L'invention concerne des compositions antisudorifiques à base d'aluminium-zirconium stables, comprises dans une solution d'alcool polyhydrique et présentant une efficacité améliorée. Pour obtenir ces compositions, on fait réagir directement dans une solution aqueuse, un sel d'aluminium soluble, un composé de zirconium, un alcool polyhydrique, un métal aluminium et éventuellement un tampon d'acide aminé, puis on maintient cette solution à 100-140 ·C afin d'obtenir une concentration par poids de 20-45 % de complexes d'aluminium-zirconium sur une base anhydre. On peut obtenir un produit solide en séchant par atomisation la solution obtenue.
