A method and an identification system for communicating between a reader (10) and a plurality of transponders (1, 2, 3) are disclosed. The reader (10) has a transmitter (11) for transmitting a signal and each transponder (1, 2, 3) includes a receiver for receiving the reader signal and a transmitter for generating a transponder signal. When the reader (10) recognises a transponder signal from one of the transponders (1) it immediately issues a mute instruction, muting all other active transponders (2, 3) and passing control to the said transponder (1), without the need for a specifically timed acknowledgement to the said controlling transponder (1). The reader (10) may issue a single disable/wakeup instruction which disables the controlling transponder (1) returning control to the reader (10) and reactivated all muted (but not disabled) transponders (2, 3).
L'invention concerne un procédé et un système d'identification permettant la communication entre un lecteur (10) et une pluralité de transpondeurs (1, 2, 3). Le lecteur (10) est doté d'un émetteur (11) destiné à transmettre un signal. Chaque transpondeur (1, 2, 3) comporte un récepteur destiné à recevoir le signal du lecteur et un émetteur destiné à générer un signal de transpondeur. Lorsque le lecteur (10) reconnaît un signal de transpondeur provenant de l'un des transpondeurs (1), il délivre immédiatement une instruction de blocage, mettant en sommeil tous les autres transpondeurs actifs (2, 3) et transmettant la commande audit transpondeur (1) et ce, sans qu'il soit nécessaire que ledit transpondeur de commande (1) envoie un accusé de réception différé d'une manière particulière. Le lecteur (10) peut délivrer une instruction unique de mise hors service/d'activation qui met hors service le transpondeur de commande (1), ce qui renvoie la commande au lecteur (10) et réactive tous les transpondeurs mis en sommeil (mais non hors service) (2, 3).
