The present invention relates to a method for enhancing the physiological and therapeutic effects of an AMPA receptor potentiator in an animal by co- administration of an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor with the potentiator. Also disclosed is a method for treating a cognitive disorder in an animal by co- administration of an AMPA receptor potentiator and an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor. In addition, a composition comprising an effective amount of an AMPA receptor potentiator and an effective amount of an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor is also disclosed.
La présente invention concerne un procédé permettant de renforcer les effets physiologiques et thérapeutiques d'un potentialisateur du récepteur des AMPA chez un animal par coadministration d'un inhibiteur de l'acétylcolinestérase avec le potentialisateur. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant de traiter un trouble cognitif chez un animal par coadministration d'un potentialisateur du récepteur des AMPA et d'un inhibiteur de l'acétylcolinestérase. L'invention concerne en outre une composition comprenant une quantité suffisante d'un potentialisateur du récepteur des AMPA et une quantité suffisante d'un inhibiteur de l'acétylcolinestérase.
