A method of enhancing the intrinsic activity of an enzyme in a raw enzyme solution, the method comprising treating the raw enzyme solution with an effective amount of a purifying agent, most preferably, activated carbon, to effect the enhancement and provide an enzyme solution of enhanced activity. Preferred enzymes are amylase, glucoamylase, cellulase, xylanase, and all other group 3 hydrolases.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour améliorer l'activité intrinsèque d'une enzyme dans une solution enzymatique brute, ledit procédé comprenant le traitement de la solution enzymatique brute au moyen d'une quantité efficace d'un agent purificateur, de préférence, un carbone activé, ce qui permet d'augmenter l'amélioration et de produire une solution enzymatique à activité améliorée. Les enzymes préférées sont l'amylase, la glucoamylase, la cellulase, la xylanase, et tout le groupe des 3 hydrolases.
