A method of enhancing expression of at least one desired gene product in a plant, comprises transgenically introducing a Tombusvirus pl9/R43W mutant gene (SEQ. ID NO: 3) into the plant, expressing at least one desired gene product in the plant, wherein expression of said product is susceptible to RNA silencing; and co-expressing the transgenically introduced pl9/R43W, to produce an amount of P19/R43W mutant protein (SEQ. ID NO: 4) sufficient to suppress silencing of expression of said desired gene product.
La présente invention concerne un procédé stimulant l'expression d'au moins un produit génique désiré dans une plante, qui consiste à : introduire de manière transgénique un gène mutant du Tombusvirus pl9/R43W (SEQ. ID N° 3) dans la plante ; exprimer au moins un produit génique souhaité dans la plante, l'expression dudit produit étant susceptible de taire l'ARN ; et co-exprimer le pl9/R43W introduit de manière transgénique en vue de produire une quantité suffisante de protéines mutantes du P19/R43W (SEQ. ID N° 4) pour supprimer le silençage de l'expression dudit produit génique souhaité.
