Provided herein, among other aspects, are methods and apparatuses for ranking aliquots from a suspension containing bioparticles. In certain embodiments, the bioparticles may be cells, organelles, proteins, DNAs, debris of biological origin, microbeads coated with biological compounds, or viral particles. As such, the methods and apparatuses provided herein may be used to quantify rare cells such as circulating cancer cells, fetal cells and other rare cells present in bodily fluids for disease diagnosis, prognosis, or treatment.

Cette invention concerne, entre autres, des procédés et des appareils pour classer des aliquotes provenant d'une suspension contenant des bioparticules. Dans certains modes de réalisation, lesdites bioparticules peuvent être des cellules, des organelles, des protéines, des ADN, des débris d'origine biologique, des microbilles revêtues de composés biologiques, ou des particules virales. A ce titre, les procédés et les appareils ci-décrits peuvent être utilisés pour quantifier des cellules rares telles que des cellules cancéreuses circulantes, des cellules ftales et autres cellules rares présentes dans des fluides corporels pour diagnostiquer, pronostiquer, ou traiter des maladies.
