An enteral composition essentially containing native micellar casein as its protein source is prepared by microfiltration and optionally subsequent dia-filtration of skimmed milk. The micellar casein advantageously replaces casein-ates in enteral nutrition by virtue of its low viscosity, its resistance to sterilization and its organoleptic qualities in a high protein concentration of the enteral composition.
