ABSTRACT In order to board or exit a vehicle, whereby one or a plurality of steps of plates, resp. are provided for a negotiating of a possible difference of hight by a person entering or getting off between the level of the floor of the vehicle and a platform at a higher or lower level, at least one step is forseen which is hight adjustable and can be positioned at a position above the floor of the vehicle, at a position equal to the level of the floor and/or below the floor, as well.
