ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to an entrance arrangement for an urban or suburban vehicle, typically a rail vehicle, with two fixed steps and skirt member capable of turning about a skirt shaft lying parallel to the vehicle longitudinal axis and horizontal, said skirt member supporting a step on its inside as well as a step cover closing t he entrance arrangement at the top, said step cover being foldable, guide cams being provided on the foldable step cover, said guide cams being in sliding contact with cam discs, the complete step cover being swung towards the inside of the vehicle behind the fixed steps, by means of support levers and a cover shaft connected to the support levers and lying horizontal and parallel to the vehicle longitudinal axis, one of the levers being connected in a non-rotating manner and the other two lvers in a rotating manner to the cover shaft.
