2109963 9221858 PCTABS00017 A process is disclosed for generating energy in a combined gas/steam generating power station in an environmentally acceptable manner by the efficient expansion of a high-pressure hot working medium in a gas turbine (4) and of high-pressure overheated steam in a steam turbine (11). The residual heat from the expanded working medium in the gas turbine (4) is used to generate steam. The steam is further heated before being expanded in a heat exchanger (7) arranged in the heating chamber of a fluidized bed furnace (8) and part (20) of the efficiently expanded and cooled working medium from the gas turbine is mixed into the fresh air to be compressed in the gas turbine.
