This invention, Environmentally Friendly Ice Remover (EFIR), is a fast dissolver of snow and ice. It belongs to the realm of synthetic inorganic techniques and solves some problems that are characteristic of snow dissolvers currently being used on the roads today. Current snow dissolvers tend to be inefficient, cause damage to the road, have high costs, have high freezing points, are corrosive to metals, and are not environmentally friendly. This application gives the ingredients and quantity ratio contained in this rapid snow and ice dissolver. The main ingredient in EFIR is MgCl2, which is extracted from natural seawater. Two preservatives and some fragrance are then added. The product therefore has a fragrant odour and is convenient to use. It is also highly efficient for dissolving snow and ice, has a low cost of production, causes no environmental pollution, is less corrosive to metals, and causes no damage to roads.
