ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A new and improved enzyme composition for cleaning, a process for its preparation and a new method for the non-therapeutical cleaning of materials are provided herein. The enzyme composition contains an effective amount of an enzyme preparation which degrades contaminants of biological origin. The enzyme is derived from an aquatic animal, e.g. from the group consisting of animals belonging to the order Euphausiaceae or fishes of the genus Mallotus.
