The performance and stability of water-based relatively high viscosity liquid detergents containing surfactant and 0.1% by weight to 5% by weight of polymeric thickener and other typical ingredients was to be improved. This was largely achieved by the use of saccharide-based surfactants, at least one enzyme from the group consisting of cellulase, amylase and protease and an enzyme stabilizer system of the constituents a) boron compound and/or sodium formate and b) polyhydric alcohol.
