ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A thrombosis test is based on the presence of specific, newly-found, enzyme-inhibitor complexes (such as plasmin- antiplasim, plasmin-.alpha.2- macroglobulin, thrombin-antithrombin-III) in blood samples having an activated blood coagulation and/or fibrinolytic system. The test is immunochemical and comprises e.g. an agglutination or agglutination-inhibition test. The preparation and purification of required reagents such as antiserums against the enzyme-inhibitor complexes, a blood-cell reagent and a latex reagent, are also disclosed.
