The present invention relates to an episomal structure expressing a functional oncogene, whereby said oncogene is a fusion gene of two chromosomal gene fragments. More specifically, the invention relates to a NUP214-ABL1 fusion product, important in the development of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia, to methods to detect the fusion and to methods to prevent the oncogenic activity of said fusion product.
La présente invention se rapporte à une structure épisomique exprimant un oncogène fonctionnel, ledit oncogène étant un gène de fusion de deux fragments de gène chromosomique. Plus précisément, l'invention a trait à un produit de fusion NUP214-ABL1, qui joue un rôle important dans le développement de la leucémie aiguë lymphoblastique T, à des procédés permettant de détecter la fusion, et à des procédés permettant d'inhiber l'activité oncogène dudit produit de fusion.
