29,716 EPOXIDIZED ISOCYANATES AND PROCESS FOR THEIR PREPARATION ABSTRACT A process is disclosed for preparation of novel epoxy-substituted aralkyl isocyanates by reaction of terti- ary aralkyl olefins and an eposidizing agent at a temp- erature of from -35°C to about 50°C. The compounds are useful as intermediates to produce curing agents for poly- functional active hydrogen-containing compounds, e.g., by reaction with polyols to produce epoxy-pendant urethanes and then with polyamines, and the like.
