TITLE OF THE INVENTION: EPOXIDIZED POLYALKYLENEAMINE-AMIDE WET STRENGTH RESINS ABSTRACT This invention describes an improved cationic wet strength resin prepared from: an epichlorohydrin-ammonia intermediate reaction product; polyalkyleneamine-amide, and epichlorohydrin. This resin is not only efficient in imparting wet strength to paper but also provides that the treated paper is easier to repulp than paper treated with conventional epoxidized polyalkyleneamine- amide.
