The invention relates to silanes of formula (I) wherein m + n = 3; m = 1, 2 or 3; n = 0, 1 or 2; o = 0 or 1, and q = 1 when o = 0; p = 1, 2, 3 or 4; q = 0 or 1, and p = 1 when q = 0; r, s = 1, 2 or 3; and Z represents a hydrolysable atom or group; R represents a non-hydrolysable group without epoxide groups; R1 represents a double-bonded group; R2 represents a (p + 1)-bonded group; R3 represents a non-hydrolysable group containing epoxide groups; X represents an oxygen atom and/or a sulphur atom; G represents a (r + s)-bonded cyclic group; and Y represents an oxygen atom, a sulphur atom or an imino group >NR4 wherein R4 represents a hydrogen atom, a group R, a group (ZmRnSi-R1o-)pR2q-, a group R3-, a group (ZmRnSi-R1o-)pR2q-NH-C(X)- or a group R3-NH-C(X)-. The invention also relates to methods for producing said silanes and the use of the same.
