72932-20 ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Disclosed is a process for the production of an epoxy resin foam, in which a polyepoxy compound having at least two epoxy groups is crosslinked and simultaneously foamed by the aid of a carbonate oligomer having terminal phenolic hydroxyl groups. The product is highly flexible against compression, bending and warp. The process proceeds without using a conventional foaming agent, since the carbonate oligomer releases carbon dioxide which acts as a foaming agent.
