- 24 - ABSTRACT The present invention relates to an epoxycyclohexenedione derivative represented by formula (I): (I) Image wherein R id a straight-chain or branched alkanoyl group having 10 to 25 carbon atoms, a straight-chain alkenoyl group having 10 to 25 carbon atoms, or a group represented by formula (A): Image (A) wherein n is an integer of 1 to 4; or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The compounds exhibit antimicrobial activity and antitumor activity.

Dérivé d'époxycyclohexènedione représenté par la formule générale (I) ou sel pharmaceutiquement acceptable de celui-ci. Dans ladite formule (I), R représente alcanoyle linéaire ou ramifié C10-C25, alcénoyle linéaire C10-C25 ou bien un groupe représenté par la formule (A), dans laquelle n représente un nombre entier compris entre 1 et 4. Un tel composé a une activité antibactérienne et une activité antitumorale.
