ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE: Apparatus for the production of continuous tapes of rubber or equivalent vulcanizable elastomeric material, comprises a calender including a pair of counter-rotating cylinders between which a mixture of elastomeric material is obliged to pass, being rolled and transformed into tape, and a cooling cylinder for the tape thus produced. The cooling cylinder comprises a hollow cylinder, internally cooled by a circulating coolant in an internal circuit of the cylinder adjacent to the internal surfaces of the cylindrical wall, with the outside of which the tape is in direct contact.
