In order for the straightening of deformed electrolysis potshells to provide operationally reliable equipment which makes it possible to straighten deformed potshell sidewalls even of different deformation resistance independently of one another, specifically both in the case of the potshell carrying structure and in the case of the potshell sheeting, according to the invention an elongate transportable straightening beam (14) is proposed, which with its length can extend over the distance between two potshell walls (12, 13) lying in each case opposite one another and which at each of its two end regions has a straightening jaw (15, 16) with a downwardly open U-profile-shaped through orifice (17, 18), by means of which the straightening beam can be positioned onto the top side of the potshell sidewalls, in or on the U-legs of the straightening jaws (15, 16) being arranged in each case at least one hydraulic straightening ram (25, 26, 27, 29) coming to lie parallel to the potshell bottom, and the straightening rams lying along a line of action, and that straightening jaw (16) which lies opposite the straightening jaw (15) which is just carrying out the straightening work on a deformed potshell wall (12) being firmly braced, in the manner of a tongue-like holding claw, with the top side of the potshell sidewall (13) and serving as a captively fixed counterbearing.
L'invention permet de raidir les creusets d'électrolyse déformés afin d'obtenir un équipement fonctionnellement fiable, ceci en raidissant, indépendamment les unes des autres, les parois latérales déformées des creusets même lorsqu'elles présentent des résistances différentes à la déformation, tant en ce qui concerne la structure de support du creuset qu'en ce qui concerne le gainage du creuset. L'invention comprend une poutre de raidissement transportable allongée (14) qui peut, sur sa longueur, couvrir la distance entre deux parois de creuset (12, 13) reposant l'une en face de l'autre, ladite poutre comprenant, à chacune de ses régions terminales, des mâchoires de raidissement (15, 16) dont l'orifice en U (17, 18) est ouvert vers le bas, à l'aide desquelles on peut positionner la poutre de raidissement sur le côté supérieur des parois latérales du creuset, au moins un bélier hydraulique de raidissement (25, 26, 27, 29) étant dans chaque cas disposé dans ou sur les jambes du U des mâchoires de raidissement (15, 16) et reposant parallèle au fond du creuset, le long d'une ligne d'action, les mâchoires de raidissement (16) situées à l'opposé des mâchoires de raidissement (15) en train d'effectuer le travail de raidissement sur une paroi de creuset déformée (12) étant solidement serrées, à la manière d'une griffe de retenue, sur le côté supérieur de la paroi latérale de creuset (13) et faisant office de contrepoids fixe captif.
