(57)Abstract A tool for cleaning the usable surfaces of an eraser and sharpening the tip thereof comprises two pairs of walls (3, 5 and 13, 15) having uneven surfaces (6 and 16) for sharpening an edge (25) of the eraser (20). The uneven surfaces have different grains so that they form a rough abrasive surface (7) and a finer abrasive surface (17). The tool has a generally elongate shape parallel to the central rib (4) and is provided with end walls (2, 12) for retaining shavings (26). Said walls are preferably sloped to allow several such tools to be attacked.
