A curling broom includes a head, a lower shaft mounted to the head, a hand grip on the lower shaft and an upper shaft extending above the hand grip and extending at an angle sweeping rearwardly from the lower shaft. The hand grip includes a generally horizontal surface to permit user to bear downwardly on the broom. The grip may be rotatable on the lower shaft. The lower shaft may also be length-adjustable to accommodate users of different heights. The upper shaft may be mounted to the lower shaft, such that it sweeps rearwardly from the lower shaft at an angle of about 15°.
