A drinking bottle in which the neck is angularly disposed with reference to the body of the bottle so that it may be inclined while the axis of the bottle mouth thereon is essentially horizontal when drinking. With the axis of the bottle mouth horizontally disposed, a person may drink from the bottle mouth various type of drinking cap, without having to thrown back the head. Thus, the person keeps a good visibility and equilibrium, achieves full use of its tongue and is less likely to swallow or choke. The bottle has its mouth opening centre aligned with the centre axis of the generally cylindrical bottle body, which may provide soft material gripping elements that also serve as tactile bottle orientation indicators.
