An ergonomic applicator is provided for applying a cosmetic composition to the eyelashes. The applicator comprises a handle portion and a head portion wherein the longitudinal axis of the head portion is positioned or can be rotatably positioned at an obtuse angle with respect to the longitudinal axis of the handle. The handle being suitable dimensioned for holding between the thumb and fingers without rotation of the handle. The head portion having at its distal end means for holding a charge of cosmetic composition and transferring it to the eyelashes on contact therewith, such as but not limited to, bristles, projections, indentations fins, tines, velcro, teeth, grooves, sponges and flocked surfaces.

L'invention concerne un applicateur ergonomique pour appliquer une composition cosmétique sur les cils. L'applicateur comporte une partie poignée et une partie tête, l'axe longitudinal de la partie tête étant positionné ou pouvant être positionné de façon rotative selon un angle obtus par rapport à l'axe longitudinal de la poignée. La poignée présente des dimensions appropriées pour pouvoir être tenue entre le pouce et les doigts sans rotation de la poignée. La partie tête possède au niveau de son extrémité distale un moyen pour retenir une charge de composition cosmétique et pour la transférer sur les cils lors d'une mise en contact avec ceux-ci, tel que, sans que cela soit limitatif, des soies, des parties saillantes, des ailettes définissant des crans, des dents de peigne, un ruban auto-agrippant, des dents, des sillons, des éponges et des surfaces floquées.
