An improved device (10) and method for mechanically installing erosion blankets (90) on a ground surface. The device holds a roll of an erosion blanket and provides that the blanket unwind when the device is propelled forward. Upon unwinding, the device positions the blanket on the ground and pins the blanket in position using staples, stakes (61) or the like. Preferred embodiments of the device provide for furrowing of the ground before installation of the blanket.
L'invention concerne un dispositif amélioré (10) et un procédé permettant d'installer mécaniquement des couvertures d'érosion (90) sur une surface au sol. Ce dispositif porte un rouleau de couverture d'érosion et déroule cette couverture lorsque le dispositif est propulsé vers l'avant. Lors du déroulement, le dispositif positionne la couverture sur le sol et ancre la couverture en place au moyen d'agrafes, de piquets (61) ou analogues. Des modes de réalisation préférés du dispositif prévoient le sillonage du sol avant l'installation de la couverture.
