ABSTRACT In the case of a respirator hood designed as an escape-hood filter-unit, a head protector is to be provided which is also designed as a packaging and readiness container. This is achieved in that the respirator hood is designed, in the skull area, as an impact-resistant head protector. The said respirator hood is an integral part of the head protector, in which the said hood, when not in use, may be stowed, stored and protected from humidity. Fig. 1 is to accompany the abstract.
