ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An ester, which is a costabiliser of mono-ordi-organotin stablisers for halogen containing resins, is of formula Image wherein each of x and y, which are the same of different, is an interger of from 1 to 6, each of R4 and R9 which are the same of different, is alkyl of 1 to 21 carbon atoms or alkenyl of 2 to 21 carbon atoms, and each of R3 and R5, which are the same of different, is hydrogen, alkyl of 1 to 21 carbon atoms, phenyl, hydroxyphenyl or lower alkoxyphenyl. The organotin stablilisers are carboxylates, mercapto carboxylates, carboxylate ester from diacids, sul- phides mercaptides or thiostannoic acids.
