New esters of 2,2-dimethyl-cyclopropane-carboxylic acid are disclosed, which are endowed with insecticide and acaricide activity, and have the general formula: Image wherein: R represents Image or R1-Y-CF2-C=C-. Y represents either O or S; X represents H, F, Cl, Br, -CF3; R1 represents an either linear or branched (C1-C6)-alkyl group, or a (C3-C6)-cycloalkyl group, optionally substituted with halogen atoms; R2 represents one from the following groups: Image ; Image ; Image and Image wherein: R3 represents an F atom, a (C1-C5)-alkyl, an alkyloxy, an alkylthio, an alkylsulfinyl or an alkylsulfonyl group; Y1 is either O or CH2.
