Esters of allyl-bicyclo[2.2.1]hept-5-ene-2-carboxylic acid and polymers thereof Abstract Compounds of the formula I Image (I), in which a is 1, 2 or 3, m is an integer from 2 to 20, R1, R2 and R3 independently of one another are hydrogen or methyl and R4 is an m-valent radical of a polyol after removal of m hydroxyl groups, can be thermally reacted to give cross- linked polymers having outstanding physical properties. The polymers are suitable especially as casting resins, matrix resins, adhesives, encapsulating resins, in- sulating materials for electronics and electrical engineer- ing and in surface protection.
