ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE Novel estradiol derivatives of the formula Image wherein R1 means an alkyl group of two or more carbon atoms, and R2 is hydro- gen or an acyl groups, which have antiestrogenic activity and are useful as antiestrogenic drugs, are prepared from a corresponding 3-ester or 3-ether by cleavage of the acyl or hydrocarbon group.
